THE CURE FOR TOO MUCH HAPPINESS…

One of my loves is driving early in the morning, so I usually start driving at 5:00 AM.  The sights and sounds that you experience in the city are like no other.  Sometimes if you are lucky, you will catch a sight that is quite out of the ordinary… and this morning I was fortunate enough to capture one of those moments.
It was approximately 6:30 AM on Monday morning and I’d just picked up Vivian, a young professional in Beacon Hill. We were heading to Biotech land in the Kendall Square neighborhood of Cambridge.  Driving over the Mass Ave. Bridge towards Cambridge, I looked to my right to catch one of my favorite views of the city.  I almost did a double take as I had never seen anything like this: the fog had lifted a bit and appeared to be hanging halfway up the skyscrapers.  It looked way too creepy… Could this be a premonition of a post-Trump world?  How about just a black cloud hanging over Boston or a vision of how depression must look or feel?   It just feels dark, but oh so interesting.  In its own way it speaks to a kind of quiet beauty.  Take a look below and see if you agree…
As I turned right onto Memorial Drive, I pointed out the view to Vivian and she gasped, “Oh, WOW.” Yep, it was a definite wow.  Now that I had Vivian on board I asked her if she would mind if I pulled over for a quick “WOW” shot?   “Of course” was her response, so I pulled off in one of the safe areas along the roadway and captured the moment to share with you (thank you Vivian).
If you are feeling way too much happiness and you are even feeling a little guilty about it… then keep this picture handy.  A quick look might just bring down your happy level to a more normal range.  😉
