As I was driving along my merry way one day this week, I noticed a voice message had appeared on my phone.  The message appeared to start mid-sentence so you did not truly get the reason for the call or who it was from… it said it was urgent to call this number 509.643.4477 ASAP so you could find out what this “case” was about.  Of course I had to call…

It was answered by a man with a heavy Indian accent… he was quite aggressive stating right from the start saying that I was being sued by the IRS!!!! This would get your attention too right?   I noticed the call was coming after 5:00 PM (like what government worker works past 5?) and from a little town in Washington state (not DC)… and of course if the IRS was suing me they wouldn’t have a guy from India making the call.

He mentioned something about a certified letter being sent to me and again I was being sued. I confronted the guy, asked to speak with his manager and he hung up on me.  When I called back… I got a quick busy signal which means the line was cut from my phone but, actually, my phone # was cut off from reaching them.

I called again from a friend’s office and got a lady with an Indian accent and you could hear lots of people making calls in the background (boiler room operation).  She mentioned the same thing to me as the earlier caller…I told her I was with the FBI and we were on to their scam and taking the proper procedures to go after them and could I talk to her manager… then, she hung up and our phone # could no longer connect with them when I called back (same quick busy signal).

If you Google this number 509.643.4477 you will read testimonies from lots of people who have had similar experiences… so beware and don’t be so quick to surrender a thousand dollars (which most people might be willing to pay) to not get sued by the IRS.  It is a small enough dollar amount to go under the radar and that people would pay and not question.
