As you sit there shaking your head No, No, No… All I can say is Yes, Yes Yes! I did actually pick up a ghost today… ghost writer that is, named Mercer,  Mercer moved up here recently having just graduated from College last year… he is a California boy.  I picked him up in Weston (the states’ wealthiest town and dropped him off at one of his clients in Sherborn (another really wealthy town).  This young lad must be doing something right.

As we drove through some really beautiful landscape we chatted about many things… but foremost his young writing career.  Right now Mercer is ghost writing for a professor who teaches at Berklee College of Music who is writing about her career in Ballet.  He is writing for a professor who is a “sleep doctor”… on a text book… be careful if you read this one… you might be lulled to sleep.  AND… Mercer is writing for an assistant dean of academics at Harvard… not too shabby.  Mercer does not want to do this forever and would like to find a career in writing that bares his own name.  I thought this was quite interesting as I have never met a ghost writer before.  Mercer says the main benefit here is that he is learning about things he would never have imagined he would be interested in, AND he finds it all quite interesting indeed!
